It has came in to my knowledge couple of days ago that my PC has been infected with win32/Amalum.zzpdb, symptoms or how you know that your PC is infected with this virus: Your computer will take forever “5 to 10 minutes” to start before you can utilize any application, moreover the video will be so slowed down, audio will be inaudible and it will be impossible to do anything.
Not only that but my internet has gone slow too and it seems that nothing is working properly on the PC and the file containing this win32/Amalum.zzpdb, popping up and down every 2, 3 seconds and I am going crazy.
When you restart your PC a command window pops that shows the title “winlogoo.exe” consists of a hyper cursor that circle all around the window. To close that window click “X” and you will see a message that says, error: cannot be completed, but the window closes anyhow.
Now let me tell you an important thing and that is, there is no win32/Amalum.zzpdb virus, a false positive result is being generated by CA Antivirus and I recommend that they should fix the problem in their next update.
You can fix the problem by simply deleting the files out of quarantine from your antivirus, or the other solution is that you should repair your windows with your windows installer disc.
If you want me to suggest any antivirus for you, in my believe Eset NOD32 or Kaspersky are the better products to use.
