The State Emergency Operations centre is monitoring Wisconsin road conditions with the wide open camera eyes during the winter storm. Wisconsin road conditions are closely monitored by utilizing the latest technology installed on the Wisconsin state roads to keep an eye on the drivers.
The state emergency operations were taking place under supervision of the center on Tuesday morning. The dispatchers are closely monitoring the flow of the traffic and road conditions from the Patrol Southwest Region Headquarters in Wisconsin State.
The dispatcher of the state emergency operations center Shauna Unger told that they are monitoring the traffic and road conditions from the big cameras on the right side of the roads. If we get any information about flow breakdown or people inform us for a situation on the same road, we can move our cameras to the exact location and analyze the situation can take appropriate actions accordingly.
The state and local officials are monitoring and taking measures to avoid any kind of a situation like the one happened in 2008, when late emergency response caused around 2000 vehicles to stuck up on the roads and in the snow for more then 12 hours.
Now this time they have done their homework to avoid any kind of hazards, they have emergency U turns which are covered by the barricades on the highways as well as arrangement to divert and stop traffic. They can use these tools in case of any blockage or stoppage of traffic.
