Talking about amusement parks, the recent crazy rides and roller coasters have become all the rage now days. Almost every amusement park is installing sky-high, extremely speedy rides. While installing these rides, the park administrators should assure maximum safety arrangements for the people enjoying these rides.
Recently, an accident has occurred in an amusement park making two of the riders injured. In Knotts Berry Farm, a roller coaster ride, which was named Xcelerator, caused an injury to two of its riders. According to the news, a cable got lose from the roller coaster and hence its debris cut the leg of a young boy while another adult male complained of back pain.
Knotts Berry Farm is an amusement park located in Orange County, Southern California. On Wednesday, while the roller coaster, named Xcelerator, was in its full swing around 4 pm, a cable from the ride got lose and its debris caused injury to two of the guests. One of them was a young boy while the other was an adult man. The cable made a cut on leg of the boy while the elderly man complained of back pain. Both were sent to hospital immediately.
The ride was shut down immediately and the personnel from the fire department of Orange County had to drag the riders from the ride. The ride is still not open and an investigation is currently in process. According to the park amusement spokesman, the ride gets inspected everyday and there was no fault in it the day the Xcelerator accident occurred. Also, the ride has a capacity of 20 passengers and it was not fully loaded when the accident took place.
