Kevin Youkilis charged with Mound due to bad blood brewing among Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night; when Kevin Youkilis hit by a pitch for 2nd straight night. He chased down “Rick Porcello” a pitcher from “Detroit Tigers”.
Rick Porcello hit him in back with a 143 kmph fastball on first pitch of Kevin’s at-bat. Kevin first hesitated for a few moments but after then he charged the Mound same as a red-bearded bull. Kevin gave pursue as the duo turned towards 2nd base even after Rick backed off the mound. Kevin Youkilis threw his helmet at Rick Porcello and after that he undertook the pitcher; then both teams begin fight. Afterwards fight was rapidly broken up and neither team looked any intention on continuing the quarrel.
This event starts from the sequence from night before; when in an opening game of series Miguel Cabrera (Detroit cleanup hitter) hit by Brad Penny. On the other hand Fu-Te Ni from Detroit hit Kevin Youkilis in the end of the inning.
Junichi Tazawa hit Miguel Cabrera again on Tuesday night in first inning; however it was not broadcasted internationally. In the next inning of the series Kevin Youkilis hit by Rick Porcello. After this incident both of them were thrown out from the game.
